The Design, Construction, and Maintenance
of the Fresno Sheriff Memorial
This is a large and ambitious undertaking that we hope to embark upon together. The FSSA, through the establishment of the Fresno Sheriff’s Memorial Foundation, has already taken the first steps in honoring our fallen. The Association has dedicated its money, time, and energy to design a Memorial at the site of our new Area 2 Metro Substation. We have also pledged to the Sheriff’s Office that the FSSA will maintain the Memorial in perpetuity. It is our hope that you will join us and help us realize our dream to build this Memorial and place these names on a WALL OF HONOR.

Family Financial Relief Fund
The FSSA sees the importance of establishing support networks before and after line of duty death incidents. We are proposing the establishment of the Financial Relief Fund Committee, made up of and led by family of those who have lost loved ones. This is a long-term project, that will provide resources to those in need by way of scholarships, short-term financial relief, and a safety valve for other unforeseen needs after the tragic loss of their loved one.

Peace Officer Memorial Tribute Trips
The FSSA intends to send families and department members to the National and State Peace Officer Memorials, annually. This provides an opportunity for all those attending to honor the fallen, receive closure, and be around a community of people who understand the significance of the sacrifice. It is our goal to provide a continual funding source that allows people the opportunity to attend the Memorial at some point in their career.
