Our History

In early 2021, the Fresno Sheriff's Sergeants Association (FSSA) Board spoke to their Membership and asked them what they expected from their leadership. One of the consensus items was “Action.”  The Membership desires for us to take action, have a just cause, and lead professionally. We know that we cannot do everything, but we can do something, and we can do it well. The Board believes that our actions should primarily be based on internal causes, in support of our peers and/or those we supervise. We believe that our causes should support those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, their families, and the organizations that support and honor them. We believe that our actions should provide support to those in need, pay tribute to those wearing the badge, and create opportunities for us to gather to build fraternal relationships and memories.
