Our History
In early 2021, the FSSA Board spoke to their Membership and asked them what they expected from their leadership. One of the consensus items was “Action.” The Membership desires for us to take action, have a just cause, and lead professionally. We know that we cannot do everything, but we can do something, and we can do it well. The Board believes that our actions should primarily be based on internal causes, in support of our peers and/or those we supervise. We believe that our causes should support those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, their families, and the organizations that support and honor them. We believe that our actions should provide support to those in need, pay tribute to those wearing the badge, and create opportunities for us to gather to build fraternal relationships and memories.
Our Mission
The Fresno Sheriff’s Memorial Foundation was established in January of 2022, as a project of the Fresno Sheriff’s Sergeants Association. Our sole mission is to Honor those members of the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office who gave the ultimate sacrifice and died in the line of duty. We will honor their memory, support their family’s needs, and pay tribute to their sacrifice.
